Straight after St.Helens R.F.C.’s Betfred Super League Round 13 victory against Catalans Dragons on Friday night, work began installing a brand new pitch at the Totally Wicked Stadium…
Since the opening of our stadium in October 2011, the pitch has undergone many reconstructions and maintenance jobs but has never had as much as the proposed work in the upcoming weeks which will see an entire reconstruction of the grounds both underneath and visibly above.
The agreement between St.Helens R.F.C. and Liverpool FC Women has assisted in the development of the plans for work to be done on the pitch to provide a state-of-the-art surface that is deemed fit for elite professional Rugby League and Football athletes. Work is expected to be completed in time for St.Helens R.F.C.’s next fixture at the Totally Wicked Wicked Stadium on the 5th July, when the Saints host Castleford Tigers.
Keep up to date with updates on the pitch over the coming weeks via the Totally Wicked Stadium Social Media channels – X, Instagram, Facebook and Linkedin.
