Following the success of last year’s first-ever From The Ground Comes Light, for the 2023 staging of the event two sensational nights of entertainment were put on for the town, in partnership with St Helens Borough Council, on Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th November.
The stadium concourse welcomed attendees with plenty of fun activities for the kids, alongside some colours and bright performers who shone bright around the ground. As people took their seats in the stadium bowl St. Helens singer Olivia Parr kicked off our on-field entertainment with her incredible voice later followed by local artist Jack Bennett then pumped up the crowd with some Saints sing-a-long favourites!
Our Saints Angels Cheerleaders including our Inclusive Cheer group then took over the whole pitch for a spellbinding performance with lights shining through the darkness!
Saturday’s show ahead of the Fire & Light display saw the brilliant Nicky Lynch perform and build the atmosphere.
On Bonfire Night itself (Sunday), England Women’s international Tara Jones was joined by the Saints’ new signing Matt Whitley to reveal the Club’s brand-new Home Kit for the 2024 season! The kit is available for supporters to buy online now at saintssuperstore.com.
Illuminating the St Helens sky and the Totally Wicked Stadium, the Fire & Light show was an astonishing display of colour and told the historical story of Guy Fawkes and Bonfire Night.
